Maja Miloš • Serbia • 2012 • A raw portrait of disaffected youth in contemporary Serbia.
Teenage Jasna lives a life of discontent in suburban Belgrade. Seeking to escape her controlling mother and terminally ill father, Jasna runs wild with her classmates in a world of booze-filled parties, drugs, and an increasingly abusive relationship with her boyfriend, all the while filming everything on her cell phone. Meanwhile, her loneliness lurks around the corner from each diversion.
Portraying the callousness and alienation of a post-Facebook generation, Clip is a raw portrait of disaffected youth in contemporary Serbia. Maja Miloš’s first film premiered at CPH:PIX, Karlovy Vary, and IFFR - International Film Festival Rotterdam, where it won the Tiger Award for Best Film.
